Team Growers Espresso took out the hotly contested Brunswick Bowling Club Small Business Cup last night. Playing arch "friendly" rivals, Johnnie and the Long Shots, the team displayed super skills under pressure to finally win 12-7 after the 11th end.
Top marks to the Penny Black crew from Sydney Road who forfeited their right to play in the Grand Final and offer their spot to Johnnie and the Long Shots - due to Penny Black contesting the competition's previous two Grand Finals.
The game was played in great spirits and camaraderie and was of course enjoyed with beer and wine in hand with foot wear optional.
We recommend a visit to the Brunswick Bowls Club before the winter weather sets in or remember to get down there come Spring. It is a top local venue to enjoy a relaxing sport and cool beverage.
