Thank you to our Suppliers

We are loving the wonderful Farmers' Market produce available as part of our menu at Growers. So here is some information on some of our regular suppliers:

Warialda Rare Breed Beef - Lizette and Allen Snaith produce the most amazing beef smallgoods from their belted galloway stock on their property in Clonbinane, north of Melbourne. We use their prized salami in some of our baguettes. Amazing flavour and texture.

Milawa Free Range Chicken - Russell Mickle provides our fresh free range chicken each week which is then roasted with seasonal herbs and served in our baguette range with a range of fresh market ingredients.

The Smokehouse - our award winning bacon and ham is sourced directly from Mike at The Smokehouse in Carrum Downs. Recent awards for Mike's bacon included 1st place in the Australia Pork Awards for Victoria's best low fat bacon.

Koallah Farm - our eggs are sourced directly from Koallah Farm, which also produces quality cattle and lamb products. The free range chickens enjoy the beautiful rich pastures near Camperdown in the lakes and crater region of south-west Victoria. Our eggs are used in bacon and egg paninis, our freshly baked muffins, frittata and also for our baked eggs on Saturdays.

Schulz Organic Farms - we haved used Simin Schulz's non homogenised organic milk at farmers' markets for the past 3 years. We also use his exceptional natural yoghurt, cream and quark in several of our menu items at Growers.

Locheilan Farmhouse Cheeses - we have been big fans of Sue's cheeses (particularly the Wunghu Soft) for years. However it is Sue's Locheilan Fetta which is used in many of our freshly made baguettes.

Red Hill Cheese - Another favourite is Jan and Trevor's beautiful cheeses from the lush rolling Red Hill pastures. We use their Coolart Soft Cheese in many of our baguettes.

Other supplies include: Robyn's lovely jams from Misty Springs near Yea; beautiful honey from Rod at Milawa's Walkabout Apairies; John Howell's apples and pears from Wandin North; and, a range of fresh and seasonal fruit and vegetables from different growers supplied direct at the most recent farmers' market.

So hopefully that wets your appetite. Or you can always just visit our roastery for one of our multi-award winning coffees, including our Australian grown Eureka Coffee espresso; or, our Gold Medal winning filter coffee through the pour over - the prized Ethiopian Yiragacheffe. All can be complimented with our selection of local sweet goodies - including baklava from El Fayed in Sydney Road, Brunswick, or maybe a Michel's Fine Biscuits (Castlemaine) treat.

The menu can be downloaded here - when in store, our display case will feature what's available for the day:
